This site is about how to “Reverse the Curse” of Diabetes, loose excess weight and make money.

I will share a little about me and why this website. My journey with diabetes began at about age 25 I don’t recall exactly. I had started loosing energy and I had noticed an unquencible thirst! I wasn’t one to go to the doctor, unless I was about to bleeed out. Otherwise, just walk it off or rub a little dirt on it and you’ll be alright!

I knew it was time to seek help when I didn’t even have the strength to mow my little yard. I went to a local GP and told him about the unquenchible thirst, no strebgth, etc.

He said I can run some tests, but I’ll tell you now you’re a diabetic. I wasn’t too surprised, because my grandmother was, by that time, on daily insulin injections.

He wrote 3 prescriptions, 2 of which I didn’t get filled because I couldn’t afford them. He prescribed 2 pills per day. The second day I got up out of a chair and saw the mantle coming fast at my face. I yelled “NO” in the name of JESUS and was able to get a seat. I called the doctor and explained what happened and if he thought I should just take one tablet. He kinda chuckled and said yeah.

I didn’t know about diabetes, other than what I had been told. I thought diabetes was a genetic diasease that I had been born with and there was nothing I could do about it! This was an incorrect lie that I believed, at that time, in my life. This is sad but alot of people believe this about diabetes.

Diabetes is more of a lifestyle of carbohydrate overdose, over a long period of time. It worsens with continued carbohydrate overdose. It goes hand-in-hand with weight gain, especially kidneys and liver. This is called visceral fat. It is deep within your body surrounding your liver, kidneys and other organs.

I learned, over the years, a recuring pattern. Prescriptions loose strenth to control blood sugar quickly. Within a few months they no longer work very well and more are required! Most recently (last year) I was prescribed 6 glipicide tablets a day and 1 weekly injection of Ozempic.

This still was not working too well and was not controlling the daily spikes at all. I was, at that time prescribed insulin. I knew I didn’t want to go down that road, so I didn’t fill the prescription.

The Beginning – Fasting

My simple logic was…If I don’t eat food, blood sugar can’t rise or spike!

I started reading alot about fasting and learned quickly.

Fasting was used by Hippocrates in the 5th century BCE to improve health. Some people think it is not safe, but in fact, we all fast every night when we sleep. Every night during sleep our bodies repair and recharge. The modern lifestyle of eating high carbs from morning to bedtime is very destructive to the human body. The body gets no time to repair and rebuild itself.

When I first began, it was a major challenge. I had no problem skipping breakfast, I never woke up hungry, so it was an easy choice to skip it for me.

The next step was to skip lunch, not as easy, but I persevered. In about 2 weeks time, I fasted for the entire day and was encouraged. The next day I felt lousy! No energy, no strength and in a continuous rotten mood toward everyone and everything.

I learned that my body did not sucessfully switch to ketosis for energy. Ketosis is when your body uses fat instead of sugar for the energy source. I waited about a week and tried again. This time I had success.

I fasted for four days. I felt hunger the first day, but it was not too hard to deal with. I did drink coffee and/or tea during the fast, which I’m sure helped. The benefits were amazing and I was very encouraged. I slept better, no brain fog during the day, normal blood-sugar readings (the first time in many years) and alot of energy! Another great benefit of fasting…major weight loss!

When you loose weight fasting the excess body fat comes off at the same time. Many people pay for surgery to remove excess wrinkles and flab after weight loss. This comes off proportunately when done by fasting, plus you loose visceral fat quickly.

RESEARCH – CUT CARBS

Record your progress and learn about yourself.

It is interesting to me how, for example; I like oatmeal plain with no butter or sugar, but it still spikes my sugar, while you may be able to eat it with only a tiny spike!

Keep a journal of what you eat and what it scores, it will vary between people.

This is where the research comes into play. Whatever you choose to use, like a stenogropher’s notepad or a legal pad. I have used legal pads for years.

The goal is to record everything so you can compare, record and learn; What is Doing What…to Your Blood-Sugar Levels.
