Herbal Diabetes Treatments

I always choose natural treatments over drugs. Herbs are as powerful, if not more powerful than drugs without side effects.

Aloe VeraPeople don’t typically think of aloe vera to normalize A1C, but it is at the top of the list for it’s ability to lower blood-sugar! Ideally the fresh plant leaves peeled is the best. It is 2 times more effective than Metformin!!!

Psyllium Seeds or Husk – This natural ingredient is also about 1-1/2 times more effective than Metformin! The best trait is no side effects.

Fenugreek Seeds – One common method of use is to soak seeds overnight in a glass of water and drink the water the next day. Another way is to incorporate the flour with another flour like almond flour.

Green Nettle – Easily mixed into a salad. This plant can be found in your yard, considered a pest plant. Nettles can be mixed with anything as a salad or cooked greens.

Ceylon Cinnamon – has a similar effect to lowering blood-sugar levels as insulin by lowering insulin resistance at a dose of 3 tblp daily. Be sure to source Ceylon Cinnamon because Cassia is a completely different plant without the benefits.

Black Seed (Black Cumin) – 2 Grams per day is 1 1/2 times more potent than Metformin.

Holy Basil – 2500 mg will lower blood-sugar and cholesterol significantly.

Gymnema Slyvestre – It has an amazing ability to stop your body’s ability to taste sweets! It inhibits your taste buds on your tounge from detecting sugar. It completely blocks your sugar receptors for about 2 hours! Sweets taste like cardboard!

Ginger – This herb is almost as effective as Metformin at improving blood-sugar uptake by your muscles. In studies on rats ginger worked better than Metformin and induced a 30 percent weight loss outcome.

Costus Igneus (Insulin or Diabetes Plant) – In Brazil this plant is called “The Insulin Plant”. It grows in Central and South America. In some people it has caused dizziness and stomach pain.

Rosemary – This herb contains Rosmarinic and Carnosic Acids. These compounds are shown to act like insulin. It drastically improves the body’s ability to regulate glucose metabolism.

Ginseng – It helps regulate diabetes by regulating insulin secretions. Ginsenosides help the pancreas modulate how much insulin it secretes to achieve better glycemic control.
